Well worth every penny
By M. Gervais
Having been in construction for over 27 years, I've come to learn that quality for a tool far outweighs finding something that doesn't cost to much but does the job. In my business [remodeling] I don't have time to send a tool off for repairs. So when purchasing a new tool, for me it is usually top end material, this assures me a tool that will last and do the job well. I have many Bosch tools [Miter saw, Table saw, Jigsaw, Planner, and an older Cordless drill.] I recently wanted to purchase a cordless Hammer drill/Impact drill kit and after some research and inquiry, I was told this kit was the newest from Bosch and the one to get.Well as usual from Bosch, this tool has had plenty of compliments from my counterparts in the business. To those I let use [seasoned builders] they all were impressed with the feel of the tool, the smoothness of operation, and the power it holds. The one thing I like about the hammer drill is the metal chuck. The hammer operation is consistent, smooth, and direct. The Impact drill works in the same manner, is lightweight and feels good in the grip. With these drills I am not disappointed at all. They sit along side my other Bosch Brute drill which I've had for 9 years and with the same batteries mind you!! That's saying something.Go ahead, make the purchase. It's a "no-brainer"CrossWorks Carpentry

Best Tools I've ever owned
By hardwired
I have primarily owned Makita tools, and was excited when they were early to the market with the lithium ion tools. I jumped on them early and was generally pleased with their quality... that is until I ran the battery low and couldn't recharge it. Then it happened a few weeks later it happened with the second battery in the kit. Apparently running the Makita Lithium batteries all the way down ruins them. At least that is what the service center explained.... This happened with 4 batteries before I realized that I could only run the batteries down about 75% if I didn't want to ruin them. How could I know how far I had run them down? An supposed advantage to lithium batteries is they don't loose power until they are drained.Needless to say, when the batteries died again, this time out of warranty, I decided I needed a new drill/driver set. I had used the bosch 12V driver for the past 2 years and loved the way it feels. I was equally as pleased with this set. They have plenty of power. They are well balanced, and the rubber grip is comfortable. They even have a battery gauge so I can see how much battery life is in them. I was told these could be run all the way down before recharging, or they could be recharged after only 20 minutes of use, either way it wouldn't harm the battery. So far, the best drill/impact driver I have ever used. Would I recommend them to a friend? Absolutely. And the Pro-vantage 2 year warranty is a great bonus, with the batteries being covered for the first year.

I realy like them
By Galileo
Very powerful, well built, my first experience was a pleasant one. There could be a minor thing to improve: When you put the drill on a flat surface on the battery it will fall on nose.
