This three-piece Silverline steel carpet tool set includes the essential tools needed to efficiently achieve a professional finish when laying a carpet wall-to-wall or on the stairs. Suitable for both the professional carpet layer and for DIY use at home, this robust, well-designed set takes up the minimum of space in the toolbox yet meets all carpet laying requirements. The three parts to this Silverline carpet tool set are essential to successful carpet laying. The seam roller compresses the carpet down to provide excellent overall contact with the carpet adhesive, while its spiked wheel prevents sliding and 'dishing' (a concave effect). This dual action creates a solid, accurate yet invisible seam, which is critical for both the visual appeal and the longevity of a carpeted space. The stair press tool, when slid back and forth, compresses pins on the tack strip, and is also ideal for tucking the edges of the carpet into the gap between strips and walls. The fixed-blade knife, which enables smooth precision trimming of the carpet to the required size, completes the set. Together, these three tools provide all that you need to achieve a professional result every time.
