Great tool, Batteries a disappointment.

I am a professional auto mechanic and use these tools daily. The 3/8 impact is my personal favorite, just a great tool. The drill and flashlights are also excellent. The florescent really sucks up the batteries though, maybe 1 hour run time on a fully charged battery. My only gripe is that both of the ni-cad batteries started loosing capacity at about 1 year old and by 18 months old were completely useless. This was very surprising to me, considering I own other makita tools with ni-cads over 10 years old that still work. Not like new but better than my 1 hear old batteries from this kit. I guess battery quality has gone down or maybe I just got a bad set. I replaced them with the 2.6ah nimh batteries and the tools have been working perfectly since.

The drill,impact wrench, flashlight kit was exactly what i needed and the price was very good. it came with a free tool bag and the tools are working on the job without issues. the only thing i did not like about this purchase was the lack of being able to have the tool kit shipped to work where i would be able to take delivery personally instead of my home where it was left on the front porch for anyone to just walk up and take. the other thing i did not like was the fist sized hole in the side of the box. thank goodness everything was intact and not damaged.
